This privacy policy sets out how Army Archery uses and protects any information that you give when you use the Army Archery website and register for events.
Army Archery is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. You may be required to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website or when registering for events, when this is necessary you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. Failure to provide this information will result in individuals being unable to enter Army Archery Association run events.
What we collect
We may collect the following information:
- Number, rank, name and job title and Date of Birth, telephone numbers
- contact information including email address
Our lawful basis for processing your personal data is legitimate interests as we require this information to ensure the smooth running of events and in particular for the following reason:
Athletes – In order to ensure we enter individuals into the correct category of competition and to ensure that the Secretary and Team Managers can contact athletes with regards to competition entry and to keep athletes updated with information for competition administration.
Corps Secretaries/Team Managers – These individuals are the conduits to all Athletes at both Army/Corps level and Grassroots. Details held are only those required to allow contact no personal addresses will be held and unless requested e-mail addresses will normally be work e-mail addresses.
What we do with the information we gather
We require this information to run events and in particular for the following reasons:
- Record keeping.
- Throughout the season we will periodically send emails about competitions and events which are run by Army Archery that you and your unit can enter, using the email address which you have provided.
How long do we retain this information
With the exception of the results this information will be held for 12 months at the 12 month point it will be destroyed. The results obtained from events will be held in perpetuity as an historical record of the events.
Certain information collected will be annoymised and retained to assist the Team managers with future delivery of the sport. At no stage will your DOB, email, addresses and telephone numbers be kept beyond the prescribed 12 months with the exception of Corps Secretaries and Team managers whose details will be held for the period they hold that appt and then destroyed on change of secretary/Team manager.
